Transition into adulthood ceremony with parents
Each group session will include: a mindfulness practice, a new mental health tool, intention for ceremony development, a therapeutic activity, and a discourse on the theme of the month.
Day-long weekend sessions at the end of the month will feature a workshop designed to instill the theme of the month, with a special staff guest of expertise.
A Rites of Passage ceremony at the end of the journey together the participants spend a solo 24 hours with the land enacting their intention for entering adulthood. Using what they've learned, they find a newfound trust in their skills and their resilience.
Family Weekend is an opportunity to have ceremony together to honor the work child and parent has put into the development of a fully-functioning human being. Opportunities will be offered for deeper connection and respect. Parents will be asked to hold space for a transition ceremony to pass over the threshold.
Additional Family Support Sessions will be available to those families who would like a more in depth approach to supporting communication and connection within the family dynamic.
Locations will vary to promote local land literacy and a variety of experiences: Garland Ranch Park Jack's Peak Carmel, River, and Monastery Beach Asilomar Del Monte Forest Private ceremonial land in Big Sur
